How are ArtSmart Study Units different from a regular art, music, theatre or dance lesson?
ArtSmart Units do not attempt to teach proficiency in a particular arts field, but to investigate the choices and expression in a specific work of art, bringing an appreciation, insight and sharing of the creative process that translates into broader life experience for students.

How are Teaching Artists paid?
TPAC Education covers the cost of TA visits to classrooms to Metro schools. Other schools pay for TAs according to a published fee schedule. The TA generally teaches one six-week Study Unit on one ArtSmart Focus Work per year. Because of the limited nature of this contract work, school assignments can be scheduled around their other professional obligations.
