ARTS INTEGRATION INSTITUTES are multi-day workshops that empower teachers to create original arts integration units and projects for their students. Teachers actively explore works of art, ArtSmart teaching practice, and ways they connect to teaching and learning. The Institute includes dedicated planning time for teachers to develop their project ideas.

Aesthetic Education is the heart of ArtSmart. It is a teaching philosophy that values deep engagement with works of art for the broadened perspective and meaningful connections they can inspire. It is a work-of-art centered, inquiry-based, student-driven and multi-modal teaching practice that cultivates ways of knowing essential to a well-rounded education.
