James K. Polk Theater is an amazingly intimate proscenium theater for its size, with a maximum seating capacity of 1,075, including 44 pit seats. It also features a vomitorium and a semi-thrust pit, which allows for more interaction between artists and audience. The stage is 87’9” wide x 50’0” deep, with a 46’11” x 30’2” proscenium opening.
