Little Red Riding Hood

Little—Red—Riding Hood,
Creepy creatures roam these woods.
I'd go with you if I could,
Little—Red—Riding Hood.

Mama's read that book to me, and I know what you must do.
Take that food to Grandma's house, but be careful who you talk to.
And Mamma says,

"Little—Red—Riding Hood,
Creepy creatures roam these woods.
I'd go with you if I could,
Little—Red—Riding Hood."

Soon, you'll meet that wicked wolf with a smile upon his face.
Then he's gonna take a short cut through the woods to grandma's place,
And he's gonna say,

"Little (little,) Red (red) Riding Hood,
Creepy creatures roam these woods.
I'd go with you if I could,
Little (little,) Red (red) Riding Hood."

He'll get grandma locked away as you knock upon the door.
Then a voice will say, "Come in my child."
But it'll sound a little sore.

And that's because it's not grandma ; only you don't know that!
So you're gonna walk right in, and you're going to say,

[Red Riding Hood:] "Grandma, what big eyes you have."

And the wolf is going to say,

[Wolf:] "The better to see you with my dear."

[Red Riding Hood:] "But, Grandma, what big ears you have."

[Wolf:] "The better to hear you with my dear."

[Red Riding Hood:] "But, Grandma, what big teeth you have."

[Wolf:] "The better to eat you with my dear!"

[Red Riding Hood:] "Aaaaaaaah!"

You'll scream as the woodsman comes to save that awful day.
Then the three of you will have lunch together, and you'll go on your way.

And grandma says …

"Little (little,) Red (red) Riding Hood,
Creepy creatures roam these woods.
I'd go with you if I could,
Little (little,) Red (red) Riding Hood."
