Jersey Boys
“Too good to be true!” raves the New York Post for Jersey Boys, the 2006 Tony Award®-winning Best Musical about Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. This is the story of how four blue-collar kids became one of the greatest successes in pop music history. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were 30! Jersey Boys, winner of the 2006 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album, features their hit songs “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “Oh, What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” “It will run for centuries!” proclaims Time Magazine.

The Jersey Boys creative team comprises two-time Tony Award®-winning director Des McAnuff, book writers Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, composer Bob Gaudio, lyricist Bob Crewe and choreographer Sergio Trujillo. Jersey Boys contains profane “authentic Jersey language.”

A Word from Amanda Virgillito Saad, TPAC Senior Public Relations Manager

You could call it a ‘Jersey’ thing.  I was born there, raised here.  I’m proud when something good comes from New Jersey. But that’s not really it.
You know the feeling you get when you have the chance to be part of something big?  See…no, experience Jersey Boys and you’ll know what I mean.
I saw footage of Jersey Boys via a tiny pop up on my computer screen, and I got chills.  I heard my coworker talking passionately about it…chills.  I needed to see this show.

In fact, I stood in line to get tickets.  In Chicago.  In January.  On my honeymoon.  I can’t begin to tell you what I love about Jersey Boys.  To pick it apart that way wouldn’t be fair.  It’s the right story told the right way.  Those songs are brilliant, and they stand alone.  But when paired with the raw, pure, contagious energy of the real story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, well…it changed me.  It reaffirmed my love for live theater.  It is magical.  It is why I come to work every day. If you think you don’t get the ‘Jersey’ thing, don’t worry.  If you think you don’t like Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, just wait.  None of that matters.  Their story is complex and amazing and suddenly, you find yourself relating to them, pulling for them.  You will feel what they feel.  You will laugh, cry and think.  You will grieve for the characters, and grieve when it’s over.  You will leave exhilarated.

I hope you’ll join me in line for tickets.
