TPAC is hosting the first public showing of Sons of Lwala, a documentary that follows Milton and Fred Ochieng’ on their inspiring journey as they find a way, despite all odds, to open a clinic in their home village of Lwala, Kenya.

Milton and Fred are students at Vanderbilt Medical School whose village in Kenya sent them to America with one request: “Just don’t forget us.” After losing both parents to AIDS, the brothers were left with a heartbreaking task: to return home and finish the health clinic their father started. Unable to raise enough money on their own, the brothers were joined by friends in Nashville - including college students, a U.S. senator, and a rock band - who came together for an extraordinary effort to save Lwala.
