TENNESEE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER FEATURED ON COVER OF AT&T REAL YELLOW PAGES DIRECTORIES

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC), one of the most unique performance facilities in the United States, is featured on the cover of the new AT&T Real Yellow Pages directories serving the greater Nashville area.
More than 590,000 copies of the directories have been produced for distribution in the area this year. Delivery begins June 30 and runs through Aug. 11. The directory also will be available to new residents and businesses throughout the year.
"We are proud to feature the Tennessee Performing Arts Center on the cover of our new AT&T Real Yellow Pages directories for the Nashville area," said Kenny Blackburn, vice president, AT&T external affairs. "We continually work to make our directory covers special on the outside, and tailor the community information inside our directories to best meet the needs of local residents and businesses."
Located in downtown Nashville, in the James K. Polk Cultural Center, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this fall. The center houses three different venues with state-of-the-art capabilities to accommodate major music, dance, theatrical, and television productions as well as a wide variety of award ceremonies, films, pageants, recitals, product launches, receptions, and meetings. The center also offers various educational programs for children, students, adults, and families.
"I'm honored to look at the cover of the 2010 Yellow Pages and see the Tennessee Performing Arts Center," said Kathleen O'Brien, TPAC's president and chief executive officer. "As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, here we are, marking another historic milestone with one of the greatest icons of recognition any organization could receive. Jerry Seinfeld turns Nashville show into flood benefit

Jerry Seinfeld has long been booked for a Nashville performance on Friday, but this week the comedian and actor has decided to donate all the sold-out show’s proceeds for flood relief.

The money will be split between the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

“This is a tough time for a great city, and I’m very happy to donate the proceeds from this show to the local organizations that are bringing help where it’s needed,” Seinfeld said in a statement.

The comedic force behind the landmark television show Seinfeld and the current Marriage Ref, Seinfeld last performed at Tennessee Performing Arts Center in May 2008, with two shows in one night.

On Friday, he will perform his celebrated stand-up routine in TPAC’s Andrew Jackson Hall, 505 Deaderick St. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show ($47.50-$77.50) are sold out, TPAC is now confirming.
