DESCRIPTION

In this unique staging of Charles Dickens’ classic, Mark Cabus plays 18 different characters in an acting tour de force. Using only Dickens’ text, Cabus vividly recreates the haunting, compelling, and often humorous novella as a theatrical performance. For 2020, this most famous of ghost stories, filmed in TPAC’s Polk Theater, is available to schools as a virtual presentation. The dynamic interpretation inspires student imagination and encourages hope with its timeless and especially needed message.

Adapted by Mark Cabus and produced in association with RightBrainLeftBrain Entertainment, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol features a new score by GRAMMY Award winning songwriter and composer Mike Reid. The film is produced by Clarke Gallivan, Coke Sams, and Dona Spangler and directed by Coke Sams and Clarke Gallivan.

TPAC’s Season for Young People is made possible by Regions with additional support provided by Tennessee Arts Commission and Metro Nashville Arts Commission.
