The Friends invite you to share in their experiences through the power of self-advocacy and art. Join us virtually on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., hosted by Tennessee Performing Arts Center.

Advocacy Through the Arts uses creative expression to give individuals who are often invisible, misunderstood, and misrepresented an opportunity to 1) discover their voice, 2) tell their original story, and 3) connect with others through a shared experience.

This Film Festival features 9 short films written and directed by the Friends. They approach the question, “How do you want the world to see you?” with vulnerability, honesty and sometimes humor. Watch the films and hear behind-the-scenes commentary of how the films were made. Their vision comes to life through the facilitation of FLC’s performing and visual arts team and are accompanied by artist from the community.
