Did you know that the average time a hiring manger spends reading a resume is less than 10 seconds? Actor, Director, and Ball State University assistant professor of acting, Mark Cabus, leads this workshop to help you write and format your performance resume so that casting directors will take notice.

Mark Cabus is a skilled actor, director, writer, and producer of stage and screen, classically trained in England, New York, and Washington DC. His film and television credits range from the Oscar-nominated Selma, John Grisham’s The Client, Nicholas Sparks’ The Longest Ride, HBO’s third season of True Detective to recurring roles on the Fox series The Resident, AMC’s TURN: Washington’s Spies and Hulu’s Tell Me Lies as well as the Emmy-nominated, Dopesick.

Having performed all over the world, he is recognized in the Southeast for his work with the Alliance Theatre, Georgia Shakespeare, Theatrical Outfit, Actors Express, Horizon Theatre, the Clarence Brown Company, Nashville Rep, Studio Tenn, the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, and his own company, Naked Stages. The Tennessean and Nashville Scene honored Mark thrice as the city’s Best Actor (I Am My Own Wife, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, and Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde) and twice Best Director (Coriolanus and The Merchant of Venice).

Tens of thousands have experienced his celebrated original play and solo performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

An educator of merit, Mark joined the faculty of Ball State University’s prestigious theater and dance program, and has served on faculties at Vanderbilt, Emory, and Belmont universities.
