Self-taping an audition is now common practice for both theater and film. Actor, Director, and Ball State University assistant professor of acting, Mark Cabus, leads this workshop to help you put your best face forward in a self-taped audition. Participants will learn camera shots, staging tips, and see examples of audition tapes.
This workshop is for ages 13 and up. Participants ages 18 and younger may be accompanied by a caregiver free of charge.
Mark’s film and television credits range from the Oscar-nominated Selma, John Grisham’s The Client, Nicholas Sparks’ The Longest Ride, HBO’s third season of True Detective to recurring roles on the Fox series The Resident, AMC’s TURN: Washington’s Spies and Hulu’s Tell Me Lies as well as the Emmy-nominated, Dopesick.
Tens of thousands have experienced his celebrated original play and solo performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. An educator of merit, Mark joined the faculty of Ball State University’s prestigious theater and dance program and has served on faculties at Vanderbilt, Emory, and Belmont universities.
