KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

This event is free, but RSVP early because space is limited.

Learn from Artistic Director, John Hoomes, about the two comedic operas Nashville Opera is presenting in November at the Noah Liff Opera Center. In Bon Appétit, Julia Child teaches the audience how to make a chocolate cake (in a somewhat roundabout, hilarious way). And in The Cook-Off, three contestants of your favorite TV cooking competition, America Loves Food, compete to make America’s favorite comfort food: macaroni & cheese!

John will give us the inside scoop on the background and current depiction of the shows, and we'll see 30 minutes a show in rehearsal.

Come “look in” at what happens before the curtain goes up. Walk into the private world of rehearsal. Learn about the creative process of the director, set designer, and costume designer. View an excerpt of the performance as it is being shaped in the rehearsal process.

LookIns are a fun way to learn about a show and see what goes on behind the scenes.
