Direct from Broadway to Music City, the blockbuster 2018-19 HCA/Tri-Star Health Broadway at TPAC season features new and contemporary hits still thrilling audiences in New York. With something for everyone, the season includes School of Rock, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new high-octane musical comedy based on the popular hit film; The Play That Goes Wrong, Broadway and London’s award-winning smash comedy; On Your Feet!, the inspiring true story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan; A Bronx Tale, Broadway’s hit crowd pleaser based on Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri’s story and Anastasia, the dazzling hit musical about a legendary young woman searching for her place in the world.
Also adding to the powerful line-up are three classic Broadway revivals, featuring the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival Hello, Dolly! starring Broadway legend Betty Buckley, along with the acclaimed new production of the legendary musical Miss Saigon and the fresh, funny, gorgeous re-imagining of the theatrical masterpiece Fiddler on the Roof
“We’re so fortunate to have seven titles on our next Broadway season that are currently doing so well on Broadway in New York,” said Kathleen O’Brien, TPAC’s president and chief executive officer. “That says a lot about how robust the Broadway pipeline is and how successful we’ve been in securing the newest, hottest shows. Nashville is the home to world famous music and art, and we’re thrilled to bring a season of diverse, fresh and accessible titles as well as classic revivals and fan favorites for our patrons to explore and enjoy.”
Several Broadway special engagements will be presented in addition to the season package. Back by popular demand following record-breaking and sold-out engagements, The Book of Mormon returns to Nashville. Also included is a special holiday engagement of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas and the 10th Anniversary Tour of Broadway’s biggest party, Rock of Ages. Experience the beginning of The Phantom’s story again as Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera makes a triumphant return to Nashville for two weeks in the fall.
