As a young man, the Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick studied violin at Northwestern University, hoping he might land with “a second-rate symphony orchestra somewhere.” But that all changed when his good friend Charlotte Rae loaned him her cast album from Finian’s Rainbow.
To understand Jackie Nguyen’s unique connection with Miss Saigon, one need only consult her cast bio in the program – “Dedicated to my family who escaped Vietnam over 30 years ago.”
Kathleen O’Brien has seen tremendous change over the last 30 years – not only at Tennessee Performing Arts Center but throughout Nashville itself. But even as the nonprofit’s longtime leader prepares to step down from her post in July, it’s clear that her passion for the arts remains strong.
Broadway’s Analisa Leaming has graced the stages of Lincoln Center Theater and Carnegie Hall. But the Murfreesboro native insists that there is something quite special about returning to TPAC in the national tour of “Hello, Dolly!”
For Chazz Palminteri, it’s all about honest storytelling. And perhaps that explains the longstanding and universal appeal of “A Bronx Tale,” the hit Broadway musical arriving at TPAC’s Jackson Hall on February 12.
Showcasing chart-topping hits and Tony-nominated choreography, “On Your Feet!” is wowing audiences worldwide. But music icon Emilio Estefan hopes the uplifting story behind the music will inspire fans long after they leave the theater.

Effective March 7, 2022
To help ensure the health and well-being of our audiences, artists, staff, and volunteers, TPAC has updated its Patron Entry Policy:
For our complete entry policy details and updated health protocols, visit TPAC.ORG/PatronHealth.
It means you’ll be unable to see the entire stage from those seats.
We sell these seats because for many fans the limited view is not a problem, and the tickets are clearly labeled at time of purchase (see photo below). Limited view seating varies event to event and could be something as small as a tiny corner of the stage being blocked from view. Call our box office at 615-782-4040 for additional information on limited view seating.
Seats marked with “Limited View” during purchase path
Many shows impose ticket limits to allow as many people as possible to have equal access to seats. This is done as a deterrent to third party vendors, i.e. scalpers, who may purchase large blocks of seats and then resell them online at an inflated cost. The term “household” refers to any shared information on one or more accounts. This includes, but may not be limited to matching names, mailing and billing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and credit card numbers. Any households that purchase more than the allowed number of tickets may have their order(s) refunded without notice.
