VALET PARKING – $44
Valet parking is provided by Metropolis for most publicly ticketed events by Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC’s Jackson Hall, TPAC’s Polk Theater, and TPAC’s Johnson Theater). Metropolis utilizes a parking app to provide a convenient way for customers to pay for valet and request their vehicles at the end of the performances. For convenience, visit Metropolis online to create your account in advance.
- Drop-off is located on 6th Avenue by the marquee entrance to TPAC near the corner of Deaderick Street.
- Paying for valet is convenient via a link texted to your cell phone upon drop off. The current rate is $44 per vehicle. Metropolis is unable to accept cash payment for valet services.
- Retrieve your vehicle: When you are ready to leave, please make sure you have paid via the link on your smart phone. Exit the 6th Avenue doors and present your claim ticket to the valet team to the left. For your safety and the safety of others, please do not crowd the sidewalk while waiting for your vehicle. During high traffic times, please keep an eye out for your vehicle to return to 6th Avenue. You cannot claim your car via the link to pay, car retrieval must be done with a member of the valet team.
Below is general information on valet availability.
- Due to the variety of events at TPAC, call 615-782-4040 if you have questions about valet service specific to your event.
- Valet is only available for ticketed events at the historic War Memorial Auditorium when there is a concurrent event in the James K. Polk Cultural Center.
- Due to weekday parking restrictions, valet services are not available for weekday (Monday – Friday) matinee performances.
- Valet attendants begin accepting vehicles 90 minutes prior to showtime. For weekday shows with a 6:00 p.m. performance time, valet accepts vehicles starting at 5:15 p.m., and moves them to the parking garage after 5:30 p.m.
- Due to size restrictions in the parking garage, valet attendants may refuse valet service to vehicles that will not fit in the parking garage spaces. This includes, but is not limited to large passenger vans, H2 Hummers, and lifted trucks/jeeps.
- If guests have not picked up their vehicle 60 minutes after an event concludes and valet staff are no longer present, Metropolis will relocate vehicles to the nearby Hotel Indigo’s valet team. Hotel Indigo is located at 301 Union Street and can be reached at 615-891-6000.
