Event Details
Blast off into the PILOBOLUS multiverse with TRIPS, a seamless voyage through gravity-defying feats and emotional landscapes. Each piece flows into the next with explosive athleticism, physical poetry, and sly humor, bringing audiences on a trip to infinite realities.
Travels may include stops to:
- Retro-futuristic Flight, a new work inspired by PILOBOLUS founding member Lee Harris
- The 1991 classic Particle Zoo, with its feral, testosterone-fueled quartet of raw power
- Lamentation Variations, a kaleidoscopic, tradition-breaking reimagining of Martha Graham’s iconic 1930 solo
Along the way, familiar favorites resurface, including the sensual On the Nature of Things set to Vivaldi adaptations by Michelle DiBucci and Edward Bilous and performed by a trio atop a three-foot-wide plinth; Day Two, the raw psychedelic awakening of the second day of life on Earth, culminating in a water slide bow that makes a splash–literally; and new classic Bloodlines, a women’s duet at the crossroads of intergenerational reciprocity.
The world premiere of Virtuous and Vicious in 2026 will launch into a brand-new dimension set to music by collaborator Luke Styles.
From the skies to the soul to galaxies beyond, TRIPS isn’t just a series of works—it’s a single, shifting experience led by an intergalactic captain that makes the audience passengers on the journey through PILOBOLUS.
